“It is a privilege to serve especially at this time of change. As an ICF-NYC Membership Ambassador I serve as a university liaison to welcome students and graduates of coaching programs to participate in ICF events in support of all stages of their professional development.

A New York University certified coach, I work with leaders in global finance, diplomacy, technology, management consulting, manufacturing, and emergent healthcare.

I began my career in 1989 as a management consultant to Fortune 500 clients. Today, I coach individuals and teams to harness their left-brain (analytical) and right-brain (creative) thinking to explore out of the box solutions that enhance performance, effectiveness and fulfillment.”

Dr. Les Joynes is a Leadership Coach at Columbia Business School, Academic Coach at University of Melbourne, Australia, Impact Entrepreneurship Coach at the New School in New York and global careers coach at American University in Paris.

Educated in the US, UK and Japan, Les possesses ‍a dual MSc. specialized on global management from ‍Boston ‍University ‍and ‍the ‍Vrije ‍Universiteit ‍Brussels ‍Faculty ‍of ‍Economic ‍and ‍Social ‍Sciences, Belgium; MBA from California ‍State ‍University; MA from University ‍of ‍London; and ‍was Japan Ministry of Culture and Education Scholar completing an MA in Japan.

His PhD examined models for creativity and intercultural collaboration, Faculty of Art, Environment and Technology, Leeds Metropolitan University, UK and Post-Doctorate from the School of Communications and Arts (ECA), University of São Paulo, Brazil.

Les is ‍now recipient ‍of ‍the ‍Fulbright-Nehru ‍Academic ‍and ‍Professional ‍Excellence ‍Award and Fulbright-Hays ‍US ‍Public ‍Diplomacy ‍Awards ‍for ‍China ‍and ‍Mongolia.

Les served as New ‍York ‍Chair ‍of ‍the ‍Society ‍of ‍Competitive ‍Intelligence ‍Professionals ‍(SCIP) and is member of the Institute of Coaching (IOC) affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute, London.

A professor at Renmin University, he has lectured on intercultural collaboration at Columbia University, Cambridge University, University of California Santa Barbara and the Peking University Institute for Cultural Industries. He contributes to professional boards and committees in London, New York and Melbourne. He is trained in French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.
